The Bear and the Maiden Fair

You can't probably imagine how I keep going from "You know nothing, Jon Snow" to Dracarys. With a bit of "Courtesy is a lady's armor." What I mean is I read this George R. R. Martin a lot, thanks to my boyfriend and the amazing HBO series. And one thing I discovered by way of reading the characters' thoughts is that all of them force themselves to be strong and carry on, no matter what sex, what age, what color they are. And that is one thing I can fully understand and sort of draw strength from, ridiculous as it sounds. And one more thing I can relate to is that they all have their passions and mistakes. I'm getting to like Ser Jaime more and more, though his portrayal on screen is somewhat more intense and gripping than in the books. Send my love to Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

As for my own life, there's little to boast of, but still a lot to be glad for. We try to make the most of our days, eating fine, loving hard, running wild (no, no such thing as running, I'm just kidding). Two days ago we went to the Buda Castle area playing tourist. We spent about five hours around Matthias Church, taking photos, climbing every step, reading every entry in the guidebook (how boring that was). We also visited the Szamos Marzipan Museum, which was totally worth it. Giant cakes with plenty of intricate ornamentation and cute cartoon scenes. My favorite was a model of Saint Basil's Cathedral. We also had a slice of cake each in Ruszwurm, a traditional confectionary with original empire furniture. We made 548 photos altogether (in a single day), due in part to our new project of collecting beautiful gates in the city.
A few days ago we had a Moly event as well, named slam poetry, though far it was from the real thing. There were seven participants altogether, and I came third, but two people claimed I won for them and it means a lot more to me.
I have still a month to go before the school term starts and two job interviews that I know of. Keep your fingers crossed for me. And better your toes as well.

Pictures coming soon.
