This is a blues song by Bessie Smith, which I first heard from Mrs. Nicolas Sarkozy, alias Carla Bruni. That's one of the few songs that I would like to sing in public, for example in a bar. I like the melody, the lyrics, and the song in general.
Today we had this typical gray weather when nothing changes throughout the day. No wind, no rain, not even sunlight. Just the same gray sky. Totally depressing. In addition, I've had literally nothing to do. Okay, I could have read something, but after a while it becomes tiring. It is just so disappointing when you are with other people and realize that you have nothing to do with each other. You pause and ask "What am I doing here?" I really don't know. As Bret Easton Ellis writes in "The Rules of Attraction," nobody knows anybody.
P.S. The internet connection was broken for a few days, so it totally crashed my writing quest.
