Longer version: Yes, today I visited the governmental (or should I say "mental") employment agency, and they told me I'm not eligible for any kind of compensation, as I've been on temporary contracts in the past two years. Funny thing is I am eligible for paying taxes and health insurance, only I don't get anything back when I need it.
But also today
- I had a new haircut (afterwards granted as my birthday present from Sis, originally a mad and irresponsible attempt to take revenge on the world and indulge myself spending money),
- about three dozens of people wished me happy birthday on Facebook (most of whom surprised me, and some of them put me in a nostalgic mood),
- (future) sister-in-law arrived from Belgium and ran to me with a big box of almonds and hazelnuts in fine Belgian chocolate coat (it is now official: I love her),

- in accord with a newly established custom, the orchestra played my favourite song (the especially touching part is that my boyfriend played the solo on trombone),
- I bought beautiful sheets and envelopes for my gerilla maneuverings,
- I decided to enjoy life (or was it earlier?).
P.S. And don't forget to listen to the wonderful Lana del Rey.
