"Nem adom fel, míg egy darabban látsz"

Spent the day emailing and phoning the pay-roll clerk of the language school and the person who is doing my tax return at the accounts company, surfing the net on laws, regulations and explanations related to my taxing status etc, and it turned out that I don't have to pay that huge amount of money to the state, thank God. I mean, what is a miracle if not this? Btw, why did the accounting girl scare the shit out of me with all this stuff yesterday?
Another manic activity I did today was washing. I did the white ones, the red section and the blue-green section as well. Must be some subconscious reaction urged by my brain to sort out my sort of chaotic life and working status. I was of no use for anything else, so no job application today, just a hastily (hazily) finished lesson plan.
Yesterday wasn't much different either. I woke up at 8 to do the huge amount of wash up before leaving. I spent the rest of the morning with two of my uni friends. We exchanged birthday and nameday presents that were due nearly a month ago. I got the following: a book on Jane Austen, a box of chocolates, a set of hair pins, a set of earrings shaped like musical notes, and a big bright blue beach bag with a peculiar shape, also called a banana bag. In the afternoon I went to see my accountant, which had a huge influence on my mood for the rest of the day. I also had to photocopy things at the language school HQ, then searched two malls for a proper birthday present for my Dad. I was looking for a collared cotton T-shirt (a thing I call "tennis T-shirt") in my own size (mission impossible in the men's department), in agreeable color, without stupid patterns, captions or whatever printed on it, for acceptable price. Finally I found a nice blue one in the teenage boy department, with the label "12-14 years, 158-164 cms." I added a brand new issue of Der Spiegel to this, as my father is really into improving his German, especially since he started his new job.
After running on errands, travelling by public transport across the city, walking in high heels, and sweating in the heat all day, I was sufficiently exhausted and fed up with the world by the time I got home.
You know, what this episode about all this money issue taught me is that you never know how happy your life is until it gets even more fucked up. So learn to enjoy it, baby!
