Unfortunately, I couldn't fulfill the goal I set, namely to read Gilbert's book during the weekend, i.e. the past 3 days. To be honest my weekend was much of a disaster. But I had some stolen moments to indulge myself. For example, me and my sister got Douglas gift tokens for Christmas and tried to get rid of it on Saturday. Which, believe me, is a hard task, if you want to do it right. Because the things that I'm really interested in, perfumes, cost around 15,000 to 20,000 forints, which is a lot. A novice on the job market earns about (or less than) 100,000 in Hungary.
But anyway, it was Christmas, tokens, and the celebration of femininity or womanhood or whatever. Finally, I bought myself three things: a super-dooper shampoo, a face pack, and some acne treatment stuff. All of them super-ayurvedic and hypoallergic. By the way, how come miracolous ayurvedic products are disposed in Euro-American style shopping malls? If I were a yogi, I wouldn't sell all these in-harmony-with-nature recipes to stupid afraid-of-aging mall-hunters. Unless I was some Western (hence fake) yogi, e.g. Yogi Bear.
Anyway, what I wanted to talk about is that I managed to read about a hundred pages of Gilbert and keep finding things that we have in common. For example this double-sided lifestyle, i.e. seeking pleasure in Italian fashion but at the same time wanting to live healthily, in peace with myself, doing yoga and eating corns, etc. I also have this ambivalent relationship with God that is completely out of established church. I like singing psalms, though.
I'm afraid I won't have time for more today because I've decided to go to bed early in order to maintain a daily routine and restore my biological cycle. And to achieve this I definitely must read a bit in bed.
