Is it not cheating to write twice a day? I won't say it will be exciting but I have to commemorate it somehow. I've spent the last hour or so reading the blog of a fellow student at my (ex-)uni, or I should say soul sister because that counts more. Anyway, she's a girl I know mostly via the Internet but who, nevertheless, inspires me to a great extent. Unfortunately, I do not live up to her inspiration because I'm so self-pitying that I waste my energy on copying rather than creating.
For one, she inspired me to write a blog in English. Before that I wrote mostly in my mother tongue and mostly short comments on my not too exciting life. Okay, this part hasn't changed much but still, it's a challenge, and also one which helps me improve, to write in English. Probably it was also due to her influence that I decided to read in English as much as I can, to which I've kept since October. Above all what I adore in her the most is that she not only dreams but makes an effort to change her life. She does take photos, she does buy books, she does publicize her talents, and in general seems more alive than me.
Perhaps I should start a New Year's Resolutions list. Seems that it worked for her.
