It was around 30 degree Celsius here, and in the afternoon we went to Margaret Island with my boyfriend. And I did enjoy it despite myself. Despite being ever-so-overworried about my future. I did apply for a job in the early afternoon, which is something I rarely do and with little result, but every once in a while let's pretend I want to change something.
So, we left around half past three, and went to Kálvin to pick up my brand new glasses and to borrow a few books from Szabó Ervin. They have self-service now, which is a bit funny, but one more thing that I can put on my abilities list. To get to Margaret Island was a bit complicated because I forgot that the tram doesn't stop there, so we arrived at about half past four, which left about an hour to enjoy ourselves, as my class started at half past six on Móricz. We kind of hurried through the island with our backpacks full of books sweatening our backs (if there's such a word), occasionally stopping to sit down and watch. At least that's what I did, gazing around in my brand new glasses, enjoying all the things I can now see. I even teased my boyfriend by asking things like "Can you see the dog over there with the little boy?" But the only time he answered no was when there was a tree obscuring his view. And he doesn't even wear glasses.
So that was our big day out, sweating like pigs, me nagging all the time, if not about the heat then about my uncomfortable sandals or the lots of people disturbing our being there by being there themselves. But on Friday we are planning to spend the whole day (and a lot of money) in Szentendre, and I'm not going to take
And that's practically the only positive side-effect of not having enough classes during the summer.
Szentendre is beautiful, I should too go back there sometime soon. Keep an eye out for the facade of the building of the cinema (if you haven't seen it yet), it's very cute and colorful. It's somewhere around the town center, right next to the river bank. Nick the camera from your boyfriend and take some photos!
ReplyDeleteI have a great blueberry recepe, I will post it in a day or two.
And let's just wish, sit, and wait that there will be more English classes from September...
Btw, I love that you post blog entries more often nowadays! Keep it up!
I've already bought the blueberry, but I can wait for a day or two as your recipes are always bloody good. Btw, why am I swearing like King George?
ReplyDeleteThe reason I post more frequently is that I spend most of my days at home, and I get sort of bored on my own, trying hard not to overload myself with housework. Hope the quality and the interest isn't decreasing.
